When writing on the computer, I think you can put more creativity into your writing. For example you are able to add hyperlinks that will direct the reader to different web sites, the reason for this being that you might want to elaborate more on the fact or you can add the hyperlink as a source. When using the computer for your writings, you can also change the font, from the size to the color. This is good for putting emphasis on a word or phrase. If you needed an extra hand when it comes to explaining something and words don’t quite do enough, you can add a picture. This will give the reader a visual aid to help them understand what you are writing about a little better.
As for me I feel that writing on paper is a lot easier but can be a lot messier than on the computer. But I also feel that it is because I was brought up in an era where all I really had was paper and a pen to take notes on and that was the requirements for some teachers in high school. Now I feel it getting a lot easier to use a computer, only because I just recently purchased a lap top to help me with my papers and as time goes on I think I will be depending on it more and more. But as for now writing notes on paper is a better choice for me rather than typing them on the computer. Although I do feel that pretty soon notes on paper will be declining through the next few years.

paper #2 blog

entertainment off the internet good or bad? As an artist begins to develop their career in the entertainment business, they tend to be desperate to acquire a “gig”, in doing so they tend to take on as many jobs as they can to get their name out into the public. One of the many methods they use can be spreading their lyrics on the internet. In most cases this helps the artist develop a name for themselves and it is a good way of advertisement; word of mouth. As with actors, most of them start their careers as extras, or independent films, trying to get their name and face out into the public. So if all these little “gigs” are a good way to start an entertainers career path, than why do most entertainers get upset when internet users bum their music off the internet, after the entertainer becomes famous, or downloading a movie off the internet? I believe this is an act of selfishness coming form the now famous person. I think the entertainer becomes wrapped up in the economic status of the business that they forget how they started and they really should thank all the little people they stepped on who got them there. For all the artist who really get upset at the fact that there are people in the world “stealing” their music or movies, than they should really take a second look at who they were before.

paper vs technology

If there is an article that I need to read and I have to read it through the internet, I would much rather read it on paper, because I have the physical feel of the paper and it feels more natural. If I start reading something on-line, the reading feels longer to me than on paper. Even though it may not be, I think the words being so small convince me that the reading is longer than what it really is. With reading something on paper I am also able to highlight or put little notes in the margin where as when reading something on the computer, it would take a lot of effort to do that. Just like taking notes. I would rather take notes on paper than on the computer, even though it is probably faster to take notes on the computer than on paper, but it is easier for me to look back at the notes on paper than if they were on the computer. I feel that it is easier for my eyes to focus on paper than on the computer. Although when writing on the computer it is legible and organized, plus you can make the font as big as you want, even double spacing. But maybe because it is more common and I have been taking notes on paper and reading from paper, and books that I feel that it is easier to read and write on paper. Some advantages of reading from a computer can be that you can decrease lettering so you do not have to turn pages, you can also make the font as big or as little as you want. An advantage from reading something off of paper is that the writing may contain more detail, for example when something is written on the internet the writer might not put as much detail only to make the context shorter in length. I think the computer is a good source for people who are visual learners because they can add pictures or graphs to their notes. So there are some advantages and disadvantages to both on paper and on computer writings.

blogs in politics part 2

Reading up on political blogs is getting pretty interesting. In one of the most recent political blogs I have read, it talks about how the senator, Jeff Sessions, of Alabama. Has a woman who schedules his appointments, well apparently she has a blog on my space and it is very provocative, and because of her blog she is making the senator look bad. Her blog is full of sexy pictures that show parts of her body we don't need to be seeing. This blog can get pretty nasty in the eyes of the public and especially if you are representing a political party. This blog goes on to pin point other senator helpers that have provocative blogs as well. So the question is, can someone's blog make or break the political figure they represent? I think yes. The media, even human beings will try their hardest to find a juicy story to get someone, especially if your not liked. A persons blog is representing who they really are (unless they are totally faking it, for example to win an election or to help make you look good) this girl should have considered the millions of people who have my space accounts, and maybe she did, but decided to take her chances anyways. These political blogs kind of remind me of the enquire, there are a lot of blogs that are just full of gossip and they are out to get people. On the other hand I have read of a blog that is trying to help with campaigns and with making people look good. But whether people really take these peoples opinions seriously is still unknown. I wouldn't mind taking a pole on how many people truly believe postings on blogs. They are after all peoples opinions.

blogging vs politicians

Ok lets get one thing straight, I don't know much about politics and I'm slowly learning the significance of flogging. I see it as a place for people to share their ideas. Nothing more nothing less. This is some place people can come and speak their mind without worrying about what someone else has to say about it, and if someone does say something bad or negative than why not say something back? Your hiding behind the computer (couldn't think of a better word, I don't mean it to sound ugly) when it comes to plagiarism in blogs I think people know what they are getting themselves into so if someone writes something they don't want other people to copy than they just shouldn't write it in the blog. Simple as that. If you have some great idea or saying or quote and you don't want anyone to take that idea than don't tell people. Now if someone were to take a quote from a blog and they don't quote it themselves, than yeah that is stealing. The whole idea of journal blogging is kind of an oxymoron, because why else would someone put something that is defined as private (journal) and share it to the blogging community? maybe to get some sort of response, or to share it with someone, or having the feeling of letting a secret out that someone else told you, and they told you not to tell, but when you tell someone it feels really good cause now you know that you'r not the only one that knows the secret, so now you can talk about it with the person you told. or maybe I'm just way off and I need to look deeper into it. Please don't be mad at me if I ofended anyone who is reading this. I'm always up for suggestions or constructive critisizum. so I'm leaning more towards no I do not think taking an idea from a blog is plagerisem, unless the blogger quotes the idea. (freewrite)

I recently moved to Las Vegas about three weeks ago and I love it!!! I was going to school in San Antonio Texas for about three years, but I'm originally from San Diego California. When I lived in San Diego my family and I would come to Vegas often, of course I wasn't old enough to enjoy the Vegas night life so I really didn't like Vegas all to well. But I am a fresh 21 year old and I am ready to explore the new city I live in! So finally I can say I am going out this weekend, only because some friends from San Antonio and San Diego couldn't wait any longer to come visit me, for which I am totally grateful for, because now I can go out. Not that I'm a huge party girl or anything, but give me a brake I live in one of the best city's in the nation, so I think I should take a little advantage. Don't you?

weekend quote: what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Not to sound too cliche.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://fernan37.blogspot.com/2006/01/so-excited-freewrite.html' title='So excited!!! What I found out was that blogging is a source for people to express themselves though their writings, which other people are able to read and judge. By creating a blog strangers are being given the opportunity to enter into someone else’s life. While searching through the different blogs I was able to get a sense of the personality’s coming through from homepages. Learning to become familiar with these blogs I found that some very popular blogs are the ones people write from their own feelings, and experiences, like a journal entry. The popular blog site for this is livejournal.com this is a place people can keep journal entries of what ever they want to write about or express and they allow other people to see what they have written. There are also other types of blogs that enable people to write their feelings about certain situations, for example politics. Blogs can be made up from any topic or situation, all someone needs is an opinion to create a blog and from there people start adding their own opinions and blogs. One thing I really found interesting was, when I was checking out the different blogs I typed in a key word or name and blogs on that subject came up and I started reading the different opinions and stories in these blogs and I got intrigued. This might be how blogs get started by people adding things to the subject and the blogs get bigger as more people write about them. Keeping a journal can have some personal touches and by sharing a journal online it’s kind of contradicting. People normally write in journals for themselves and when it is written online than one is opening themselves up for other people to read about how they feel. A lot of times people can express themselves through writing better than talking to someone so this gives the writer an opportunity to express themselves.

"Anything Worth Doing Is Worth Doing Well"

"Anything Worth Doing Is Worth Doing Well"
